75 days — Bred as a cross between a popular old variety called 'Gradus' and 'Alaska' by Laxton Seed Company of Bedfordshire, England[1] and released in 1898.[2] It was first cataloged by American seedsmen for the 1901 growing season. It was named after the late pioneering seed breeder, and founder of the company, Thomas Laxton. It does well in maritime conditions and it is wilt resistant. The peas are large-seeded, large-podded, bright green, excellent quality, and high in sugar content. The pods grow to about 3½ inches filling with six to eight peas.
